Questions about the Kingdom of Pietermaritzburg
Is playing from Pietermaritzburg free?
Completely. No download, no paywall, and it works on phone or desktop.

A sovereign city kingdom with 50% more treasury and shareable resources than an ordinary province, a real-world map position, and the coalition's armies within diplomatic reach.
Can someone attack the Kingdom of Pietermaritzburg?
Yes — other real players and AI nations can declare war. Build infrastructure and happiness before you build an army, or upkeep eats you before an enemy does.
Is Pietermaritzburg part of an AI coalition?
Yes. Pietermaritzburg sits inside the KwaZulu-Natal AI-Kingdom, which answers to the South Africa Coalition-AI. The coalition presides, the kingdom governs, and you rule the city.
What does the hyphen in the name mean?
Everything before the hyphen is yours — your chosen ruler or dynasty name. Everything after it is the AI-Kingdom title you claimed, so "Kingdom of Pietermaritzburg" stays fixed while your name leads it.
